Advice before heading out
- Wear seasonal footwear and carry extra clothes since temperatures at the summit are often colder than at the base.
- Make sure your physical fitness level is adequate for the climb and bring appropriate clothing and equipment including a water bottle and food.
- Don’t climb by yourself, and bring a charged cell phone. Please note that cell phone services are limited at some locations on the mountain and that some trails are not patrolled. Basic First Aid knowledge is highly recommended.
- Don’t litter – you will find garbage cans and recycling bins at the base of the gondola.
- Don’t build a camp fire and don’t throw your cigarette butts in nature; not only can they start a wild fire, they are made of plastic fibers and do not decompose.
